Laramie County Democrats Condemn 'White Lives Matter' Leaflets: Urgent Call for Unity Against Racism

The Laramie County Democrats are raising the issue of the disturbing “White Lives Matter” leaflets that have recently wormed their way into the homes and businesses of Cheyenne and Laramie County.

Our whole community must band together in opposition to this kind of racial bias infecting the culture of Laramie County. We call on another important part of our community, the Laramie County Republican Party, who have thus far remained silent on this issue, to join in this effort.

Laramie county is a great place to live. To keep it that way, we all must continue to exercise vigilance and fight back against those who would foment hatred and violence against any part of our community.

Laramie County Democrats Call for Solutions for Our Unhoused Community Members

Laramie County Democrats respectfully ask the leaders of Cheyenne’s City Government to work toward long-term solutions for people experiencing homelessness in our state’s Capitol. We note the passage of an ordinance this past July establishing a curfew for homeless people encamped along Crow Creek. Sadly, deliberations on the ordinance skirted the larger issue of whether the ordinance would merely displace homeless people to other parts of the city without doing anything to solve the lack of affordable housing and adequate mental health and substance abuse services that underlie the homelessness issue.
