Dear Fellow Democrats,
The Laramie County Democrats will be holding their County Convention on March 20th at the UW Residency Center Auditorium. This is an important meeting for us as we will be electing state delegates to the State Convention, developing our platform, hearing from current Legislators and hopefully giving candidates a forum to announce their candidacy. Senator Mike Massie, Albany County, will be speaking to the Convention. The Convention will begin at 10:00 am with registration from 9:00 am-10:00 am. I hope we will fill the auditorium with enthusiastic Democrats.
Laramie County has 54 delegates eligible for the State Convention which will be in Casper May 14 &15. At the State Convention we will also be developing a State Platform. Even though this is not a Presidential preference year it is still important for us to develop a strong party heading into the 2010 election year. All four elected offices will be up for election this year and the State Convention will be a forum to meet and hear from our Democratic candidates.
